Custodia Personal Firewall provides two accounts for user management: i) an administrator account; and ii) a user account. A feature of Custodia Personal Firewall allows users to switch between the two types of accounts. The administrator account can execute and/or modify all personal firewall features and settings, while the user account cannot modify the personal firewall features and settings/rules, or to start/stop/exit the firewall software. To make changes to the personal firewall settings, the user will need the password assigned by the administrator when switching to the administrator account.
Trojan Identification Technology
The embedded "Trojan Wall" actively blocks Trojans, spyware, and malware from infecting your computer system and trying to gain access to your personal information. This feature adds peace of mind when conducting any online transactions. Through heuristic virus scan technology, when a program application connects to the Internet, Custodia Personal Firewall will scan the program. If the program/process is suspicious, the user will be alerted.
Custodia Personal Personal Firewall allows you to establish trusted sites or Zones, which can either allow or deny remote access to your computer system for file sharing and accessing system resources.
Custodia Personal Firewall will automatically analyze, locate and record the source IP address of a potential virus, Trojan, or malware attack on your computer system.
Custodia Personal Firewall can control access to the Internet by all modules. When an application attempts to access the Internet, the firewall will check the authorization of the module to determine whether access approval has been granted. If not, access to the Internet will be denied. The Module Test is also effective in preventing Trojans from injecting into normal processes to gain access to the Internet.
ARP Spoofing occurs when a computer sends false ARP packets to a local area network in order to trick other computers and/or the LAN gateway to trust it. This is done either to prevent data from being sent or received from a certain computer, or to spy on the data that is being sent or received to that computer. Custodia Personal Firewall has improved its ARP Spoofing Defense in particular to this kind of attack. The settings in ARP Spoofing allows the firewall to intelligently choose which ARP packets to accept or reject.
